Finally found a place I would go back to....

I have been searching for quite some time to find a haircutting shop in the area that not only did a good job, but also wasn't outrageously priced. I have tried numerous places here in Antioch and had been unable to find a place I could honestly say I would go back to based on the quality of the cut for the money. However, I went into Haircut Headquarters for the first time on Monday on the advice of a friend, and I must say I was very pleased with not only the quality of the hair cut but also the price. I was greeted with a smile and a "hello" by the person at the front desk and the stylist really took the time to listen to how I wanted my hair cut. Based on my initial experience, I will most certainly go back again. My girlfriend also went there yesterday and got her hair shampooed, blow dried, and bangs trimmed and she was pleased with her experience as well, which is what prompted me to write this review. I think we can all agree it is not easy to find a good haircutting place these days, especially one that is reasonably priced, is friendly, and does a good job.

Cheap haircuts. That's it.

I was wondering why I kept going here and figured out it was because the haircuts are cheap. Fifteen dollars for an adult, $12.95 if you have a coupon. The bad news is, well, you get what you pay for. Not always a straight cut, not always even. Had an eyebrow wax that was disastrous. The wax was actually dripped onto the hair on my head! I had to pull the hair out to remove the wax. Ouch! I have been coming here for years because, well...I am cheap. But no longer. My hair deserves better. The owner has never smiled at me, acts like she is doing ME the favor of having my hair cut there. Hmmm...I can't forget to mention I am continually hounded to buy their specialty products, which are rather expensive. (Try ebay for this stuff, great deals.) This is a good place for men and children. Women...you deserve better.
